Tim's
ranking has risen to 55 after reaching the quarter finals in Bangkok.
After two victories over British rivals Andy Murray and Alex Bogdanovic,
Nico came up against Thailand's best player Paradorn Srichaphan but came off
second best after three very close sets.
Current Tournament - Tokyo: Tim had
his best tournament of 2006 when he reached the final in Japan. With
QF and SF victories over M Ancic and H-T Lee, Tim reached the final only to
have to face friend and foe, Roger Federer in blistering form.
However, Tim's ranking will go up when the rankings come out tomorrow.

Career Titles and 2004 Round Up
Tim had two big highlights during 2004 - his first
appearances in Grand Slam semi finals outside Wimbledon - at Roland Garros, Paris and
Flushing Meadows, New York. He also reached the quarter finals at Wimbledon, was
runner up in the TMS Indian Wells and other semi finals in Doha and Rotterdam. In
doubles, Tim won the Monte Carlo TMS title with Zimonjic. In Davis Cup, Tim won two
singles match and his doubles rubber against Luxembourg as well as his second singles
rubber in Team GB's defeat against Austria. On the family front, Tim and Lucy welcomed
second daughter Olivia in the world during December.
